A term paper is essentially a comprehensive, researched study paper composed by doctoral students within a particular academic period, usually for a pre-requisite course, which accounts for a large part of the grade. The structure of a term paper could be described as follows: the author presents his/her argument(s), i.e., the most important topic (s) and perspectives (remarks ) concerning the literature or subject under debate and assesses the discussions presented in detail. One should always start with a summary, since an outline will act as a map to allow the reader to make it to the numerous sections of this newspaper. The outline has to be well thought out to avoid the reader becoming bored and attempting to skip parts. In other words, the outline should make the reader want to browse the term paper further.

The title page is the page where many pupils first visit the term paper, and its aim is to catch their attention. This title page ought to be written in a lucid and exact way to set the tone and direction of the newspaper. It states what the newspaper will be around, what search materials will be used, and exactly what the main decisions will be. The title page is also the first glance that the reader has at the language, style, and conventions of this paper. Future research readers can thus easily relate to the terminology employed, and this can be important as a reference for those references within the body of the paper.

The main body is the text that the term paper is composed, and is normally the longest part of the term paper. After the debut, there’ll be a body which comprises the key ideas expressed in the paper. Afterward, there’ll be a conclusion that presents the decisions reached throughout the newspaper. These sections are notated with a upper or lower case letter for the interest of consistency among term papers.
